Cosy Festive Room Christmas Card
All of my illustrations are originally painted by hand using watercolour inks and paints before being printed professionally. I wanted to challenge myself and try something a little different from my usual botanical designs this year. I drew inspiration from that festive feeling of cosying up by a fire with a hot chocolate, a favourite book and a pet at Christmas time. I particularly loved adding the little details to the illustration like the titles on the books (which include some of my classic faves like "Little Women", "A Christmas Carol" and "The Hobbit"). I also had fun painting the sleeping ginger cat and the cute dog wearing glasses in the photo frame. I hope that this illustration stirs up warm, comforting feelings and memories of being home for Christmas, for all who see it!
